Jakana Urban Garden and Nursery

To support our closed loop manufacturing process at our factory, we have opened our Jakana Urban Garden and Nursery, using home made compost of our fruit waste scraps to grow the freshest of herbs and plants. We run our garden organically using no chemicals at all to maintain our healthy and strong plants.

Baker’s Dozen Bakery

When we discovered that from one apple (grown in Western Uganda) you can make so many different products, we decided to use some to make Apple Pie for Thanksgiving. That started our full service bakery, making fresh products daily.

PakMor Stand Up Pouches

Jakana Foods was the pioneer for long shelf life packaging here in Uganda, so by partnering with PakMor, we can provide all the packaging solutions for food products made in Uganda. Not only do they provide food safety, but convenience for the shoppers as well. We offer contract packing in a food factory as well.
